Reverse shoulder replacement on a petite woman
Hi! I had a Reverse shoulder replacement (RSR) on my dominant arm (right) on 9/28/23. To this day I am still going to PT and although ROM has improved, I still have pain with every day movements. I’ve tried nerve block, trigger point injections, acupuncture, and cortisone injections. I still feel tight and in pain although everything is healed. Surgeon thinks it could be that I have little muscle and because I am petite. Is there anyone out there that has had this problem??
Thanks for listening!!

Hi,
Just curious, how did they determine how big your deltoid was? My passive range of motion is good but actively,I can only raise my arm straight out in front of me and can’t touch the middle of my neck in back nor my head half way up.
I hope you have good results with your new neck therapy and a Healthy New year.
I believe the x ray and MRI showed the muscle. I know what you mean about ROM . I still can’t reach behind my left shoulder and behind my back. Can’t blow dry well or hold my arms up while doing chores. Just hanging in there. Best of luck to you! Please keep in touch!!!
