Retinal Scarring

Hi my son had eye surgery and as a result now have retinal scarring. Should I be concerned? He is experiencing scratchiness of the eye but that seems to be it for now.

@ldepillars I have had scratched corneas, and have never heard of retinas being scratched.
What does his surgeon say?

I’ve had 3 retinal repairs in both eyes and I do have scars on the retinas. There’s no long term feeling. I have dry eyes and my eyes get scratchy but that’s on the eye surface and artificial tears and tear duct plugs help with that. I also take a generic form of AREDS supplements and ground flax seed in my food daily for the Omega 3 oils as per my doctor. Have him call his surgeon’s office and talk to them about it or make an appointment. When it comes to my eyes I stay on top of it until I get an answer and get relief
