Has anyone tried Repatha or Bempedoic Acid for lowering cholesterol?

Hi @igl, I opted to try and lower my cholesterol with some lifestyle changes but it's something that definitely needs to be discussed with your doctor. While we wait for others who may have experience to share with Repatha or Bempedoic Acid, I thought I would share a few references on the topic that might be helpful.

I realize it has been 5 months since your post @igl, and you may no longer be reading the groups.... but I have been on Repatha for about two years, and I am now living with neuropathy (numbness/tingling in feet and wobbly gait). The Repatha has made a REMARKABLE difference in my triglycerides.... cut the number in half!! I have also been taking a statin for 25+ years. In my recent researching, I have seen mentions of statins and neuropathy.... and also Repatha and neuropathy. As yet, I have found no research of a conclusive link.... but I continue to search. I wish you well!

@domiha, have you seen a neurologist about the neuropathy? I brought it up to my neurologist, and she quickly checked my Vitamin B12 levels - sure enough, they were way too low. When I started taking the vitamin, the tingling/discomfort went away. This may be completely different than what you are experiencing, but as a minimum, I would start taking supplemental B12 if my feet were in your shoes. Re; the wobbly gait, you may want to ask for physical therapy. Ankle muscles may be weak?
