Hi, I just had a colonoscopy and my doctor removed 6 polopys. Thank God they were benign. She told me to take Konsyl everyday. I also have Diverticulosis. She also said to take Miralax and find out how much keeps you from constipation. I have had trouble with my colon since I had RCHOP for NHL. good luck.
I have the same exact problem. I had a colonoscopy and the doctor removed 9 polops. They were also benign but one of them was pre canerous. She told me to take Konsyl everyday and I also have Diverticulosis. I also use Miralax when I start getting constipated and also Senna. I have had this same trouble since i had RCHOP for NHL too. It has been 7 years now.
Have had severe diverticulosis for 7/8 yrs., recently diagnosed with redundant colon. Interested in hearing what others are doing that have both to keep everything calm.
My husband is 80, and was just diagnosed with RC and Diverticulosis. He has lost his appetite, and his stomach gurgles all the time and keeps him awake at night. I am making sure he drinks lots of water, but we’re not up to the 80 oz. a day yet. I am I overloading him with 2 heaping tsp. of fiber and 1 magnesium in AM; and 1 magnesium and a Sennacot at night? He used to be a one/two bowel movement a day guy. Now we cross our fingers for one a day.

Hi Suse5545. I am a 73 year old female. I was diagnosed with Redundant colon/Severe Tortuous & small med and large Diverticulosis in Feb 2024 after a colonoscopy. I have had Diverticulosis for years and was always constipated. After the test the doctor said he would have to use a child size scope for any further colonoscopies. Every morning I was having right pain that radiated to my back. The doctor said my pain should be on the left. He suggested I see a surgeon about having to remove 10 feet of my lower colon the sigmoid section. The surgeon told me to change my diet and eat more fiber. I did and kept my 10 feet of colon. I lost 20 lbs. and all the numbers on my Cholesterol Panel were cut in half and are all normal. I have a BM everyday and eat more unprocessed food. I have cut out bread and pasta. In the morning I have whole fat yogurt with berries and 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed and 2 tablespoons of whole flaxseed. I have tried just ground but the whole seed works better for me. I admit I am not a big water drinker. I do have 2- 15oz cups of coffee with cream. My BM's are the length and thickness of a large banana, sometimes longer. I barely have to use a wipe. I am happy I could change my habits for the good. I still sometimes get constipated because I ate pizza. I take 2 magnesium glycinate at night.

Hello mtollfree. Thanks for your message. We eat pretty healthy. Lots of greens, veggies with fiber. I increased his Miralax and Sennecot has been added. He’s only managing 60 oz. Of water a day; our PCP told him he needs 80 oz.
He has lost a lot of weight.6’2” and 167 lbs. His last colonoscopy the surgeon nicked something and my husband bled for 3 days. We live rurally, and our options for referrals aren’t great. And he’s quitting the colonoscopy’s from now on, anyway. He’s pretty stubborn and with all his other health issues, is just about done with the medical community. I am hoping he’ll quit fighting me about doctor visits. Again, thank you for your message.
