Recurring sinus infections
Anyone else having recurring sinus infections? Had stem cell transplant end of January 2023. Numbers are increasing. So stopped Revlimid and started Darzalex Faspro, Velcade and Dexamethazone weekly last week. I am on a Daily Bactrim pill ,but have been battling sinus infection since Thanksgiving, felt good Christmas, then 2 days later sinus drainage back.
Keeps me from attending grandkids activities or going anywhere other than Doctor appointments.
Anyone else dealing with this?

My husband had mastoid infections for a while after his first transplant. Since he did not get a good durable response, Mayo took him to a second transplant. He got a complete response and never had trouble with it again even though he has had to return to revlomid and or revlomid and Ninlaro with dex several times. He is currently on a treatment break with good numbers. It will be 15 years in may since he was diagnosed.
I am a firm believer in calling the doctor with these issues. You may get the nurse and have some relays of information, they can’t help you if they don’t know. In our case we call the oncologist because these issues are related to immune function or drug side effects.
Are you comfortable calling in to your doctor? Have you asked about this in the past?
Yes,I am waiting for a response from myGP. She knows of my ongoing issues. Do have an ENT the end of the month.
Thanks for the reply! Best Wishes!
