Hi @shali2524
I am beyond sorry that you have been holding such a heavy burden so bravely for eight long years. I’m super glad you’ve found this group and hope it will help you sort out possibilities that bring you hope and help you less alone in it, as it does for me.
I’ve just had to go onto medical assistance (MA) in my state and have been wading through the logistics myself. When I spoke to the healthcare navigators in my state, they told me to call Mayo’s billing and insurance department (for the location you’re interested in, as Helen mentioned, or even ask for each location, in case one has already covered by your state med assistance plan for someone else) and have them give you the tax id’s for that site and department (GYN ONC). You can do the same for any other GYN ONC center that you think would have something to offer you. Then you can call your state medical assistance representative and let them know the Mayo (and/or other) Tax ID number or numbers. They will need that information in order to determine coverage.
Another issue I have here (but you may not) is that my state’s MA program does not cover out of state treatment (beyond states bordering mine) unless I have a statement from my doctors that what they recommend for me cannot be provided within the state. I am wondering, as Helen mentioned, whether your doctors would refer you for second opinion (and third, etc) at national cancer centers, including Mayo. That is where I am focusing my energy at the moment, since I had been receiving (excellent) care at Mayo. I am seeking a doctor who is covered here who is willing to support me to go back to Mayo if I need it. At very least, I hope Mayo staff can consult with and guide a local team with treatment should I have a recurrence.
None of this is easy, so I hope you have someone who can hold your hand (in real life or emotionally) or advocate for you as you wade through the possibilities. Income should never determine the scope of our options for healthcare, but the truth is that it can. I will be keeping you in my thoughts and willing you the energy needed to access what you need and so deserve.

Back then I would have tried anything to get through the cancer. I did what I knew. I did the tea every day. I did the colostrum faithfully. I drank Aloe Vera juice. Whatever I could. Have you heard of apricot seeds? I ray every day my cancer stays away. I don’t know if I would have the strength to do it again. I don’t wish cancer on my worst enemy. I say keep your immune system strong, a healthy attitude and keep fighting forward. ❤️🙏♥️
