rectal pain

has anyone had problems because of over use of rectal suppositories.I have using lidocaine with tribenoside to long.

It's possible to get a tear in the skin chronically using suppositories. Anal fissures can sometimes be seen on an exam or not. I was diagnosed when I had a colonoscopy. I had to get a compounded cream to treat it. If it gets infected you could need antibiotics. Either way, even a tear can affect your bowel movements, fixing it could help all around. Hope you find relief.
