Rectal Cancer Perineural invasion

Hello I’m new here diagnosed as stage 3 rectal cancer on April 19 2023 I had radiation and chemo and my LAR during 12-5 my pathology came back great other than Perineural invasion can anyone on here comment on this and if there are any long term survivors that have had this. Thank you this has been such a devastating yr on myself and family I have two small kids.

Hi @rdavis12 and welcome. I'm tagging fellow member @happyending01, who also has experience with perineural invasion with colon cancer.

I can imagine that this has been a devastating year for you and your family. Is your cancer team suggesting further treatment at this point in time? How are you kids dealing with everything?
