Reconstruction phase 2 - swapping of implants & lipofiling

Posted by gillbell84 @gillbell84, Jan 23 11:41pm

New year and the next phase of my reconstruction surgery will be happening soon which includes lipo filing (taking fat from tummy) and adding it to the breast to create a more natural look, hiding the rippling and the outline of the implants . I’m also getting my implants swapped out for a slightly greater projection - this wasn’t possible at the first surgery as I have thin skin and I had NSP (which was touch and go with my nipples but thankfully they survived). Wondering if anyone else has had this second stage surgery and what the post recovery is like. No drains thankfully but the lipo is supposed to be very sore afterwards and will have a he 6-8 week restrictions again whilst the implants settle and heal etc TIA

Not I. I’m looking to explant SDX and not swap. Concerned about silicone toxicity. Would love to create a small mound with autologous fat grafting.

I had lipo as well. For me the fat grafting didn’t last. I had it done in September 2023 ( my bilateral mastectomy was June 2023) by Nov most of it was gone. I’d do it again. Not every one has the same experience as me.
