I have taken evenity for a year and have been advised to take reclast to maintain what bone growth evenity has done. I am concerned about any reactions from the once a year reclast Can anyone give me advice?

I've had the Reclast infusion annually for the last 4 years. No side effects. Best of luck!

An option is to request a reduced doseage. In osteoporosis we are faced all too often with a one-size-fits-all mentality. There is some evidence that even a 1 mg dose could be very effective.

I took the lower dose which is Zometa. That’s 4 mgm of reclast. I did fine. I’m 83 with osteopenia but long term steroids a risk factor.

I just had my Reclast infusion yesterday and so far feeling good. I know that we all experience these drugs differently.

So far everyone I know personally has no problems with reclast.

Thoroughly review the side effects. I took the infusion. Side effects were discussed prior to my injection, but they were glossed over. Oh, most do not have them. Maybe a little flue like symptoms within a couple of days. A few weeks later I woke up. Sat up and the room was spinning. Still happens. Also added dizziness when I move my head back to look up, get something from a high place.

I’m wondering if that would be a good option to start with and see what side effects there are.
