Reclast generic

Any thoughts on zoledronic acid - generic Reclast?
Doctor said it was less expensive, but is it as good?

Anyone here use this? Experiences?

Drugs have Trade names and generic names. Trades names are provided by the manufacturer. Reclast was developed and FDA approved by the company Novartis. The generic name is zoledronic acid.
However there are several similar drugs, Reclast is more potent.
I did research on this drug 2003 until 2007. Mainly I studied it for cancer patients. But another team was working on a lower dose for non cancer patients. I thought it was very interesting at the time, as I watched older family members get shorter due to bone loss in the vertebrae in your back. I also knew patient who had hip replacements and some of those surgeries failed after a number of years, leaving them in pain and unable to walk.
I had my first infusion a week ago, I was tired for a few days, but had no flu symptoms. I feel fine now. I choose it because I know the drug well. My dental health is excellent, as my family was very careful about caring for teeth. So I don’t worry about needing any invasive procedure.
I also liked that Reclast is given annually.
