Medications: How to make the best choice for me with my doctor?
Hi guys! It's been a month of testing, and my doctor decided to use Reclast infusions. It seems I might have Celiac (colonoscopy here I come) and my varmint D is in the low 18s so absorption might be my issue. I AM scared s*itless by reading the comments but I decided to move forward with it because every medication I read about has horrible side effects, so I might as well try this one.im tired of living in fear of breaking a hip, I'd like to take a shower without gripping the handle for dear life. With that being said I want advise. The good, the bad, what work for you? What questions should I ask? What did you buy that improved your life on it? What do you regret not doing/saying before it? And if you had no issues PLEASE tell me, I can use any positive stories to settle my mind.

Hi @jizzo. I tolerated Fosamax with no issues whatsoever. I've been on and off it a couple of times. Is that what your doctor is advising for you?
Best wishes to you moving forward!
I had horrible side effects from Fosamac and now on Actenel with none. Anyone else on this?
My infusion was a year ago this month. While the side-effects are getting fewer and farther between, I have experienced significant muscle, joint and bone pain as well as hair loss. And when I say hair loss, I mean like chemotherapy hair loss. Thankfully my dermatologist has helped me with that. I'm far more concerned about all the other side effects I had. I stopped Fosamax because of acid reflux and my acid reflux is considerably worse post Reclast so I need to follow up with another doctor for that side effect. I will never do it again. I might note I drank lots of water and followed all instructions in preparing me for the infusion.
