Abdominal cramping, then diarrhea. No obvious food connection. Why?

Posted by sln51 @sln51, Jul 23 3:19pm

Around the onset of menopause, I would get severe abdominal cramping ending in watery diarrhea 1-2xs/ year. In last 2 years, it happens every month if I'm lucky but more often now every 1-2 weeks. I've documented what I eat and don't see any real food connection. Anyone have help or similar issues?

I had Crohn's for 40+ yrs and I recommend that you see a GI Doc. I'm in remission now to which I credit Low Dose Naltrexone but get checked out and find out if you have it first.

Thanks. I've seen a GI dr. and am having a follow up in a couple months because symptoms haven't changed. I've had 2 clear colonoscopys, also.

@sln51 Well I'm flummoxed. Still you might look at LDN and see if it sounds right for you.
