Hi Amanda! After I read the report I’ve called and I’ve talked with the radiologist. I’ve asked him why didn’t he tell me about this and he explained to me that is nothing to worry about, that is already calcified and that I don’t need any fallow up MRI. But I have so many more questions... I have next week an appointment with a Neurologist.
@cristina29 that is great news. I am happy that you reached out directly to the source of some helpful additional information and that you have a follow up appointment!
Have you made a list of your questions for your appointment?
Hello @cristina29 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I can tell you are concerned. Have you called and asked if your meningioma on the report is cancerous? If not, I would suggest starting there.
Also, did they suggest a follow up MRI? If so, how far out?

Hello Colleen
I hit my head and I had a CT done they found a 8 mm calcified extra axial lesion overlying the left frontal convexity with images favoring a benign meningioma. I am waiting to hear back from Mayo they received my written CT were waiting on the CD image. My anxiety is so over loaded. Just want to know what my options are.
I did the same thing, hit my head, found a meningioma with CT, had MRI, had surgery to remove the large meningioma on 12/10/19, now play golf 2-3 per week and drink a beer afterwards. Good luck with yours
Colleen I had a video appointment on Thursday, the Dr Chaichana Reviewed the CT images and went over everything with me. More than likely a calcified meningioma that has been there a while, I will do a MRI in 6 months.
Welcome @rifkinde. How is your frontal lob meningioma being treated? How are you doing?
I was diagnosed last November with small calcified left frontal lobe meningioma.

Wait/rest and watch/have Faith!!
Yes feel good about wait and watch.
@allaboutus, that's sounds reassuring. How are you feeling about the active surveillance or watch and wait approach? Anxiety calmed somewhat?
