Psyllium as food supplement
We used psyllium as a fibre food supplement.
Its sticky structure makes you think that it is linked in some way to collagen.
However, today I have read that psyllium blocks calcium absorption and thus should be avoided for bone health.

"contain far less lead." It's still lead. How much have you been getting for years from using it regularly? Consumerlab is behind a paywall. If people don't want a subscription, how will they know which ones have the least lead? It's best to get a simple lead blood test to determine how much lead you have in your body then make an informed decision.
There is a "background level" of lead in many products.
So I think if you have been using psyllium fiber regularly for a long time, getting a blood test is reasonable.
It is interesting that they tested the products and not the people using them - sometimes elements are "bound" to the products we use, and are not absorbed - just pass through.
Remember, lead is present in many other things - foods, supplements, soil, water and air. For example, when urban soils are tested before community gardens are planted, it is sometimes determined there is too much lead, arsenic and other contaminants to safely use the space for food production without remediation.

I agree!...chronic exposure
I have been using psyllium almost daily for many years in orange juice fortified with calcium. My daily calcium intake was mainly from dairy, OJ, Caltrate 600mg/day. In 2022, before starting Tymlos treatment, my blood work showed Calcium level little higher than acceptable. I cut down on Caltrate to alternate days. Calcium #s came down to average level. During the Tymlos treatment my calcium level remained roughly close to average. In Fall 2024, at the end of 2-yr Tymlos, my calcium level remained the same. I continued the take psyllium w/OJ. I will be doing blood work in next week or so. Will report then
