PSA test results, should I start my treatment sooner?
Hello everyone, I have a Metastatic PC with Gleason 9, I’m scheduled to start treatment July 10 (delayed because of some travel ) I’m beginning to think that I should reconsider my trip and get the treatment started sooner. My PSA is climbing January before all the tests, biopsy etc my PSA was 7.1, Mar 7.55 this week May is at 8.14 my T is 411 what is the opinion of the group.
Thanks

I had Gleason 9 with a PSA of 8.8 and am doing fine after radiation and ADT. Worry creates suffering.
I had a similar diagnosis as you. Sooner rather than later. Sounds like you are on top of it.
Keep us posted .
Thank you smc, I totally agree, for some reason I couldn’t see the big picture, with no symptoms it’s not difficult to push back. Thanks everyone for the wake-up call. I’m waiting for an appointment the order is in I should start within a week or so
Thanks

If you refuse chemo what will happen?
I was never offered the chemo option, when I asked my oncologist said Chemo will not work in my case

Then how would it be treated?
Chemo is offered if you have a lot of metastasis, Too many to zap with SBRT radiation.
Is radiation treatment any safer than chemo?
It’s a combination of ADT and radiation
