Thanks, trying to figure out why a PICC line would be necessary. Guess I could understand it if it was for an elderly patient with poor veins. I go 8/19 for my Theranostics consult so hopefully I’ll find out.
Yes. My treatment is done thru a PICC line that is placed and removed the same day as the treatment. My veins are not good and even the placement of the PICC line is an ordeal.

My treatments were administered through 2, IV lines, one for the amino drip, and the other for the radiation..

My PRRT was through 2 IV lines as well. Worked great. Im curious why the PICC line. My care was at Mayo. Maybe others have different protocols.

Please let us know how that consult goes. I personally don't know much about it. Thanks.
Ugh, I was hoping I misunderstood. I agree, PICCs are an ordeal! Thank you for responding.
IV, day of procedure. Already had a chemo port, but they wouldn't use that for radiation.
From what I gather Theranostics is a buzz word used for imaging, chemo, radiation, etc., done in Nuclear medicine.
Best wishes and prayers for you today..
Good luck today.
