Prostate lesions found, biopsy results, No symptoms
Hi everyone, I’ve no symptoms as frequent urinating or erection issue nor stop start urinating, my PSA is gone up for the last 6 years from 4 to 6 to 8 … and now @ 12 , did an MRI ( not coil/ sound type though ) it came out that I have two lesions one on inferior top part and one in the bottom of my prostate gland, hate to do biopsy, any idea ? Anyone have the same issue ?
Ps no blood in urine either
Thanks so much for all the feedback 🙏🏼

Better to start a new thread, rather than hooking on to one at least three years old.

@oldmariner
It happens sometimes - not a big deal. Sometimes even moderator combines new and old threads if the topic is the same.
BUT, it is better to make a new and separate thread since more members will see it "as new" and perhaps more members will respond.
Congratulations on no symptoms. If you had symptoms, it would mean that the disease was being discovered very late, with an uphill battle. I'd say yes to biopsy and then to PSMA PET scan to determine whether the disease has spread. My biopsy showed two lesions in the prostate; PET showed three lesions plus activity in two lymph nodes. That changed the treatment protocol. Good luck!
Hello,
Like you, and I don’t want to alarm you but help you in your consideration, I had no symptoms whatsoever during the management and care of the health of my prostate. Care started with my annual physical where I had a PSA of 13.1. We did a re-test (7 weeks later) and the number was 11.8. Then I had an MRI, which showed a lesion, prompting a biopsy. Biopsy came back with a Gleason of 4 + 3, so decided to have surgery for removal. Post-surgical pathology report came back with a Gleason of 5 + 4 (higher and more unfavorable than the biopsy result) and 20% of the prostate being cancerous. From the physical to surgery was 5 months and, again, not one symptom during this time.
Wishing you the best as you manage your care and decisions.
