Prostate cancer and lycopene
Has anyone seen an improvement of their PSA after several months of daily drinking tomato paste and water or tomato juice while being diagnosed with prostate cancer 3+4=7 Gleason score. Or similar.

Yes, I have seen improvement in my PSA!! I was diagnosed with a Gleason 3+4 PC after biopsy in August of 2025 with a PSA of 6.04. Since then and after reading many clinical trials and medical literature on PC and what "Active Surveillance" means, I went ahead and started taking 15mg of lycopene supplement daily; completely removed red meat and alcohol from my diet; considerably reduced dairy and sugar and added daily portions of vegetables, some type of fish (salmon, sardines, etc.); drank at least 72oz of water daily, and did treadmill twice a week 30-45 min of fast walking. For dessert, I always have a small slice of guava paste (also high in lycopene). In October my PSA went down to 5.4; in December it went down to 3.54, and this month it is now at 3.40. If I can avoid the potential consequences of current treatment options for PC and live a healthier life by simply changing my diet and doing more exercise to help beat this and other cancers, I would like to share this with everyone hoping that it works for you as well. Unfortunately, I believe only another biopsy will tell me if my Gleason score went down as well. Positive thinking and prayers always help. Stay well!

9 Reactions@navig8tr I forgot to include that I also drink 8oz of 100% Pomegranate juice (Pom Wonderful) daily. This diet along with some exercise has helped to see my PSA trending down for the last 6-7 months. I intend to increase my exercise as pointed out in this thread by @climateguy in December 2025. I hope this helps. Stay well!
