Prolia verses Evenity
Started out on Fosamax for several years. Then was on Prolia for 8 years and back to Fosamax for 2 years. Endocrinologist left and now I have new endocrinologist. New doctor is recommending I go on Prolia forever or Evenity for 1 year and then possibly switch to Prolia or another medication. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Prolia is under the classification of an Antiresorptive, and affects both density and quality aspects of bone. Prolia creates more bone density than bisphosphonates.

I believe that Prolia is now approved for ten years.
May I ask what you are taking now, after Evenity?
I was also told that Prolix is to help maintain bone density vs increasing the density.
"-ˈzȯrp-, ˌan-tī- variants or anti-resorptive. : slowing or blocking the resorption of bone. Since postmenopausal osteoporosis is characterized by bone resorption that exceeds bone formation, antiresorptive agents can help to restore skeletal balance by reducing bone turnover, primarily at the tissue level."
It's so confusing....
I know what you mean it’s all very confusing. I have my next DEXA scan in August and will see the benefits of 2 injections of Prolia. 🙏🏼
I had my last Evenity shots the day of my bone scan. I would like to take Forteo but I wonder if I have to lock in my Evenity gains with Reclast first??? My doctor will want to put me on Prolia. I am only 71 so I don't want to do that the rest of my life. I have 3 weeks until I need to start something. I can't find any information on Forteo after Evenity.
