Probable norovirus yesterday, Thanksgiving tomorrow. Time to skip?

Posted by John Taylor @jdtay87, Nov 22, 2023

I live by myself about a half hour away from my dad’s house. I was going to have Thanksgiving there tomorrow, but I just got through a bunch of vomiting and diarrhea yesterday and early this morning. I already know what I have to do, so I guess I’m just here to vent. Um, hopefully your Thanksgiving will be better than mine.

@jdtay87 It's such a bummer to be sick right when you hope to gather with family or friends, but you are right. You don't want to be the guy that brought stomach flu to the party!
Here is what the MIchigan Public Health Department says about Norovirus:
"How long are people contagious? People infected with norovirus are contagious from the moment they begin feeling ill to at least 3 days after recovery. Some people may be contagious for as long as 2 weeks after recovery. Therefore, good hand washing is important."
Maybe someone will be kind enough to bring you a plate?
