Post viral fatigue.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Two weeks ago I was sick with fever, sore throat, vomiting/diarrhea, body aches. Since then I don’t feel sick but have been very fatigued, swollen lymph nodes, occasional body aches and pains, dull pain in left side near spleen. Dr said my bloodwork CBC looked good other than an elevated monocyte level which he attributed to an unknown viral infection. Two different doctors have told me that my spleen didn’t feel enlarged after examination. Have been so tired lately and am worried because my symptoms match that of blood cancers. Also have anxiety disorder which makes my mind run wild with worse case scenarios.

Did you have all the EBV tests? Sound like all CREBV symptoms.

Had mono two years ago. Monospot was a weak positive. EBV panel showed positive for igG but negative for igM which was indicative of a past infection.

My symptoms seem to get worse over the course of the day and are minimal in the morning.

Also my anxiety about what it could be is eating me up inside which doesn’t help. I can’t get into my pcp for two more weeks

@mattkl817 did you ever get answers on this? I just did a recent comprehensive panel that checked me for Early Antigen. I had been told for months by several doctors I did not have chronic EBV so I went and had the Early Antigen independently and sure enough, I was positive.
