post TKR revision painful to move after standing for a few minutes
I had TKR May, 2024 and then a revision March 2025 to replace the spacer with a thicker one. It's been almost 6 months since the revision and I am walking better albeit with a cane, unbalanced. The biggest issue and concern is I experience a lot of stiffness and pain after standing for only a few minutes. I feel ok standing but when I move from a standing position it's very painful. It's very concerning because I have a full teaching load -Tuesdays are a 10 hour teaching day- plus the other days. Surgeon is crap and says I'm fine. Insurance only covered 20 PT visits so I'm finished with those and can't afford to pay out of pocket. I am stretching, have just started back in the pool treading water, seeing a trainer x2 weekly.
Does anyone have any advice or thoughts about why it is so painful to stand, have you experienced the same, if so, how did or did you resolve it? TIA
