Post Covid Symptoms

Posted by bjhamblin @bjhamblin, Nov 19, 2022

I got covid in March of 2020. It was really bad and I was ill for approximately 3 weeks with a fever ranging from 102-105. My oxygen intake was low. I’ve had asthma all of my life but it’s always been moderate. I used my nebulizer while sick although they told me not to, it improved my breathing. After covid I can’t quite catch my breath. I feel like I’m always struggling and can’t be as active as I want to be. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I am always out of breath as soon as I try to do anything. Even on a good day, I can’t do the things I used to. The fatigue is changing my life.

Me, too, and it's been 2.5 years. I'm just trying to recognize it as a new part of my life. Once in awhile, I have a good breathing day - mostly when I haven't done anything for a few days.
Hang in there - waiting for a miracle!!

Interesting as I thought Pepcid AC is tied to causing fatigue due to inhibiting the absorption of B12?

ALWAYS tired. ALWAYS dizzy! Always thirsty, and a new peripheral neuropathy, (numbness) in my feet. Brain fog. decreased sense of balance. Muscle weaknesses all over. MUST sleep at least a 1-2 hour nap/day. =(
Is this familiar to anyone else? Any tips to deal with any of these?
Taking magnesium, B12, turmeric, (Two weeks now, Naltrexone), eat basically healthy meals, (No sugar added, low fat, lots of greens and veggies). Slowed GI.

As far as Pepcid goes, some fatigue is caused by Long COVID induced hyperactive allergic reactions or mast cell activation. Pepcid blocks histamine-2 receptor and has helped some Long COVID folk when combined with a good antihistamine which blocks the histamine-4 receptor.

i started taking pepcid (H2) with allegra (H1). it has been a month now. it isn’t a perfect solution, but think it has been somewhat effective for my IT. they also have improved my mood.
i wonder if i need to deal with H3 and H4 as well.

My peripheral neuropathy. COVID March 2020, disabiling peripheral neuropathy, leg weakness and pain by early 2021. Raynauds Diagnosis March 2021. I have already commented on my HUGE diet changes. I forgot one important addition. My PCP said "you are getting older, so it's typical to become weaker with age" Except, I went from perfectly fine and 3 miles on the treadmill in 2019 to I can handly walk by March 2021. "The miracle of L-Proline" I'm not recommending any supplements, please consult with your health care team, however, I thought, after some research, "since Collagen breaks down when you get older, why not try collagen supplements". I tried several but they made me nauseous. I took a close look and the key to collagen synthesis is proline and hydroxyproline. For example, one scoop of Vital Proteins has 1038 mg of Proline. (you can't get proline from a vege diet, it comes from meat and I don't eat any red meat and just a little chicken. I started taking 1500 mg of NOW L-proline and within a month, my legs were stronger. Neuropathy was gone and in 3 months I was back on the treadmill. I close friend who had MM and is ten years in post cancer recovery has extreme neuropathy. He started taking 2000 mg L-Proline and within 3 months he was able to walk better. Again check with your health care professional before making any changes. Good luck!
