Ponto hearing implant

I have had a Ponto hearing implant for 13 years. In recent months I am having constant headaches on that side of my head. Sleeping on that side is no longer comfortable. I don’t see my surgeon for a checkup till March. Anyone else experience this?

A titanium rod was implanted behind my left ear. After allowing time for the bone to grow around the rod and healing to finish, I was able to begin wearing a Ponto 3. (Some call it a Baha.) When Ponto 5 super power became available, I upgraded.
