PMR for life? Paracetamol better than steroids?

I’m free of steroids about 4 months all was well but it seems that I’m back as it was before .. I’m using Paracetamol from Europe as it helps me to reduce the pain
Is it better than steroids? I really do t won’t to go back as my doctors do t like me on it I have other illnesses etc
