PMR & Dry Eye

Hi,
My husband was diagnosed with PMR 5 months ago, he is on 30 mg. Of Prednisone, he is experiencing watery gritty& blurry eyes. Was wondering if anyone else has had this happen while on Prednisone?

I had dry eye prior to PMR diagnosis but it got worse with prednisone. I had to use eye drops more frequently to help. Also use Muro 128 three bedtimes a week. I now need cataract surgery. My eye doctor recommended meibo for dry eye but it was too expensive.

Dry eyes started after about 2 months on prednisone at 15mg and now it's pretty constant. I use Refresh Plus several times a day, particularly on waking. I've just tapered down to 13mg, and the dry eyes continue. I've also noticed that I need to use drops sooner rather than later, waiting to use drops make it take a long time to get relief. I also get eye strain much more easily when using a computer or reading, which makes my distance vision very blurry for a while.
