Pityriasis lichenoids chronica reoccurring

My 6 year old granddaughter has pityriasis lichenoids chronica that stopped for a a few months but came back.. it covered most of her body.None of the conventional treatments that were tried have worked except bromelain and pineapple helped for a while. Are there any new treatments that have shown promise?
