PIPAC for peritoneal metastasis
Hello. My husband was diagnosed with PDAC last year and has undergone six months of Folfirinox followed by SABR radiotherapy which kept the original mass stable. Unfortunately he's now developed peritoneal nodules and ascites which has interrupted the start of his secone line chemo. Even if he's able to resume treatment, his oncologist said it's unlikely to work quickly enough to help him. Therefore, I'm investigating PIPAC treatment. Does anyone have experience of this? We're in the UK and it's not yet available here.

I hadn’t heard of it until your post; just heard of HIPEC, but this sounds intriguing. I hope you get a post from someone who has tried it. Would HIPEC be too invasive for your husband?
Thank you for your reply. I don't think he would survive the HIPEC surgery as he's lost so much weight recently and his blood pressure is running low from frequent ascites drainage. There are some PIPAC trials taking place in the UK, but unfortunately they're not open to those with PDAC.
