I get pins and needles (and flaming swords and bolts of lightning) randomly but exercise distracts me from my aches and pains -- I get a break from it, especially when I'm exercising outdoors. It's a fascinating world out there - being part of it is all-absorbing to me. I'm also distracted from pain when I'm with people. The pain hits me the worst when I'm alone. Sometimes I realise that it has been there for awhile, I just didn't notice it while I was with people or with nature. Peggy

Good evening Peggy @pfbacon. It is nice to connect with you again, Peggy. I want to acknowledge your post about the distractions that you find beneficial.....especially with people or with nature. That is where I want to be and where I am some of the time. Does the distraction take your mind off the pain or just drown it out?

Would you call this a meditative effect of some kind? I want to follow this and even try some connections that might initiate the freedom from pain at least momentarily?

May you be safe and protected.
Chris

I have some relief with compression socks during exercise, thorough hamstring and calf warm up stretches. Water exercise for me is totally painfree and it is great to have a break.

Thanks for the good idea ... there is a place near me where I can swim year-around. I'll try it. Peggy

I suffered from extreme cases of pins and needles while cycling during my initial sweat I found that a change in my diet and vitamins somehow took away the problem.i increased my B complex, that was the really the only major change, and I believe it made the difference.

How are you doing now? What is the B complex that you are taking and what is the frequency?

Hello @stevenson, I would like to welcome you to Mayo Clinic Connect along with @albiet, @martinsmckinney, and other members. I ran across an article about paresthesia and hives and was wondering if it might be helpful related to your symptoms.

Good afternoon gentlemen. I just have to jump in and respond to the wet legs comment. I have that frequently. My toes feel like they have melting ice falling down them and then on down my leg. It is sort of like liquid jelly and happens in the afternoon when I lie down to rest or at bedtime.

There is no discomfort or pain. Sometimes I try to wipe it away and it stays right on my leg. The liquid is just part of my imagination?????? I don't think so.

May you be safe and protected.
