My husband and I are trying through Kaiser here in N. California. No luck so far. We're both in our late 70's. My husband has had a spleen removed years ago, and I've had breast cancer and radiation. Frustrating.
I contacted my oncologist and her staff set me up. I got the Pfizer vaccine last Thursday and have the appointment for dose 2. We were fortunate that Mid Michigan Health was so organised and efficient. slight headache and minor arm stiffness.
@sparklegram I have gotten nowhere with John Muir, but now have an appointment with the CCC Health Dept. for the vaccine at DVC on January 30. Try registering with the CCCH department.
Thank you, @elizm! We'll give it a try tomorrow!
I had my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine last Friday. The second is scheduled for Feb. 5. I am at the pre-surgery phase and my surgeon is scheduling it for the week before or the week after the second dose.
My husband and I have had both doses of the vaccine through Contra Costa County.. Apart from tenderness in our arms for a couple of days, we've had no side effects.
I has my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine on February 24 and am scheduled for the follow up shot on March 25. I haven’t had any side effects from the first dose, and hoping to also have only mild side effects from the second shot. I’m truly grateful to the doctors and scientists to have worked so hard to make vaccines available as quickly as possible.
I had my first dose. Side effects were headache, arm ache, ringing in my ears for 7 hours and slight nausea. I am due for the second dose next week.
My girlfriend just had hers on Friday and she had done thing similar as symptoms but was great today. As far as I am covered take whatever you can get.
I've had both of my Pfizer vaccines. The first one in January and the second one was the first week of February. I had flu-like symptoms for the first few days and rested a lot because I didn't have the energy to do very much. Some muscle/joint aches and pains, etc. Also, some mild neuropathy type of pain. I'm still glad for the opportunity to get the vaccine. Whatever the side-effects it is probably better than getting COVID.
