After a first chemotherapy infusion for prostate cancer, a PSMA PET scan would likely show the extent of prostate cancer spread and can be used to monitor treatment response, with a decrease in tracer uptake or fewer "bright spots" (positive uptake areas) indicating treatment success or an increase suggesting the cancer is not responding.
