Persistent swelling, excess fluid and low creatinine
One of my kidney function indicators (creatine levels) has dropped below normal. I'm constantly experiencing swelling in my legs and fingers. Is this related to my ADT and low testosterone?
I've gained almost 10 kg of excess weight in a year, despite being on a diet.
My blood pressure is constantly rising, and I take pills to control it.
Hey guys, has anyone else experienced this? I'm 49 years old and still going strong.

ADT can definitely cause that swelling. I know a lot of people who’ve had that happen to them while ADT, including myself.
The weight gain problem is pretty common because you have almost no testosterone. It makes it very difficult to lose weight. I gained about 6 pounds over the holidays and it has taken me four months to lose it.
Low T causes a sluggish metabolism, reduced muscle mass, increased abdominal fat storage, and low energy for exercise. Low-T creates a cycle where weight gain further lowers testosterone, requiring lifestyle changes or medical intervention to break.
Cutting out meals for weight loss often backfires by causing your metabolism to slow down and promoting fat storage as the body enters a survival-oriented "conservation mode". It leads to nutrient deficiencies, intense hunger causing overeating later, energy crashes, mental fatigue, and potential muscle loss.
Between low T and the inability to cut out meals. It’s really annoying how hard it is for prostate cancer patients to lose weight. When it comes down to is we really need to change our diets.
