Permanent retainer off
Permanent/fixed/bonded retainer on top of teeth came off partly while eating. Pulled the rest off. Was thinking of getting the retainers removed anyway as it's been almost 10 years, I haven't worn plastic retainers over these for over half a year and my teeth haven't seemed to noticeably shift. Bottom retainers are still there. Deciding whether to get them removed by a dentist now or wait. Meanwhile, I notice indents on the back of my top teeth where the top retainers were. Is this something I should have a dentist look at?

Hi CMX,
Sorry you are having problems with your teeth! Definitely go to a dentist and see what may need to be done. Our teeth are so important to our health! Without them we can't eat all the healthy foods our bodies need. I have dentures and have since I was 15. I'm currently 79. Recently part of my dentures broke off. I went to a dentist and got new dentures. The company that made them did a beautiful job! I know you don't have dentures but having a good dentist is very important to our quality of life. I hope things work out for you.
