Peripheral neuropathy and bunions

Can anyone relate to this?
About 10 years ago my right arm and leg started going numb. And they are still numb to this day.
I also developed a severe bunion on my right foot.
A physiotherapist suggested it was my body compensating for my changed gait when I walk. But I have not noticed any difference in the way I step or move my weight. So I can’t explain it.
Has anyone else developed a bunion, and what did you do about it?

A few years ago about 2 weeks after lumbar surgery I had a recurrence of a corn which had been pretty much history after surgery for hammertoes. No reason why it should have come back, but it did. At the time I could hardly walk and most of that was on carpet while wearing slippers. For the time being it's diminished and doesn't bother me. It's on the left foot which also has greater degree of nerve damage.
