Pelvic congestion syndrome

I’m having a pelvic venous embolization due to faulty veins in the pelvis. I have many varicosities and will also have my perineal region worked on along with my left leg. It is a 3 hour procedure. Anyone have similar procedure and if so please share your recovery without frightening me. I’m already anxious about an outpatient surgery. Thanks so much

I have never heard of Pelvic Congestion Syndrome, but I am interested to know what the symptoms are. And it makes sense that you are nervous about getting a pelvic venous embolization. I don't know what it is but am going to look it up. How necessary is it to get it? I am sorry that I am not bringing anything to the table here, but the post caught my eye when I read hysterectomy and prolapse. My mother is going through so much right because her uterus has fallen onto her bladder and the bladder isn't where it should be because of it and it is causing all kinds of problems. They are slow in helping her. She thinks it is because of her age. She is 75. I don't understand it since she gets urinary infections one after another and antibiotics are no longer working for her. She is always telling me I will likely go through the same stuff because her mother did too. Except with her mother, they just did a hysterectomy. With my mom they just want to pin her bladder up. Although, my mom wants a hysterectomy. Anyway, I am going to go look at what your condition is. Sorry, I am of no help. But hang in there. Maybe someone else here will know something about it.
