Pathology report - how long after RP?

Posted by undetectable @undetectable, Sep 13, 2023

My husband is doing really well after RP last week - no pain, no GI discomfort, walking around, sleeping well. Today, 7 days after surgery, is his post-op visit - will the pathology report be ready? What else can he expect, other than catheter removal (which he is thrilled about).

Wow, what an amazing story. So happy for you...and frankly surprised that your docs were so flexible. I had barely finished reading when I started pitching the Mediterranean Diet to my husband. Seems like a no brainer for everyone. Wishing you continued luck and a long healthy life.

Hello,
I received my pathology report about a week after my surgery. The Mayo Clinic called me. I receive, in my case, an unwelcome report. Cancer was detected in one of eight tested lymph nodes. I never had a follow-up visit. A couple of weeks later I received a call from the radiation dept and later from the urology dept. Jerry

I had the surgery on Aug. 3rd and Lab said no spread. I am sorry for you but you probably will have a CMSA Pet Scan and then any spots can be exactly identified and then targeted Beam Radiation will poison it and be done with it. I will pray for you bud.
