Pancreas 6mm cyst
The Dr now says that the one that was there in the tail is gone but now I have another on top it’s 6mm too..is this normal? All of this occurred after a hysterectomy with a devinci robotic device. Could this be a small part of tissue that was overlooked.

@tjberryi: “Cysts” described as a Wait&see from doc sets off a RED flag for me. Do yourself a favor and have repeat scans regularly to track size progression and additional issues associated in organ. I did not follow-up on my cysts and cancer discovered too late for surgery & metastases. If biopsy suggested consider sooner than later for your best health outcome. Just my 2cents.

4 ReactionsI would get second opinion from Dr. Evens and his team at Froedtert in WI school of Medicine. Seena Magowitz Foundation has a program that will facilitate this Zoom call.

2 Reactions@tjberryi Hi and Welcome to Mayo Connect. You said that you had a previous one on your tail that is gone, but this is on top. Was the previous one a cyst? On top of what? Is it also in the tail? Does a hysterectomy include the pancreas? Thank you.
The previous one was 6mm on the tail, it was recently diagnosed as a cyst but has since disappeared. The new one was discovered in 2025 and is on the top lower part of my pancreas it is also 6mm. Around the same time I started having digestive problems, my food not breaking down taking over 8 hours sometimes regurgitated whole contents of stomach after 8 hours of fasting
