Pain when urinating 18 months after radiation

Posted by cochuir @cochuir, Jan 24 9:57am

I was 70 this week. Had Brachytherapy, EBRT 15 sessions, last session June 24, ADT for 6 months. Have severe pain when passing urine, had Urogram and Cystoscopy, prostate inflamed from radiation. Taking Tamsulosin 400 MCG twice daily, have tried other medications for pain relief including supplements but no relief. Also, intermittent sleep. Would appreciate any feedback. Neil

Pyridium is what is most commonly given; it specifically targets the lower GU tract.
