Had brain surgery also stents for anersyums . 35 replacement joint surgery in hands every time a replacement broke dr who develop them put in another . I've got at one finger no longer attached Boston drs shocked , knee,replacement back surgery 3 fusions 2 rods 2 brakes, etc. removal of all lovely steel in March this year healed gone.

I developed a stiff neck couldn't move it at physically therapy this year finally it moved with a burning running into my shoulder with pain, I noticed my arm I couldn't sleep on right side my leg hurt to, then I noticed it was on my left side arm and leg. Then I had extreme pain in my groin and back . I can only lay on my back and don't move a muscle .
I go to s pain clinic got shots to help neck and back 2 weeks.only nobody questioned what else hurts. Just a number .. Still pain in arm and legs and neck shoulder and back. I take 15 mg morphine for normal from osteoarthritis which still doesn't stop normal pain and aches.
This is sore to touch I don't understand what's happening. Just starting this journey my pc doctor last week wants 7 X-rays . She mentioned PRM . I'm stiff in am any ways , I want to know why symmetric pain is happening. Only one test done sed rate. ?

I can't take more pain from another disease . I just want to curl up and go sleep and I can't I just lay on my back and cry.

Welcome @annie122607, Sorry to hear you are having to deal with symptoms from multiple conditions. I know that has to be difficult trying to make any sense on what happens next. PMR pain is normally symmetrical according to what I've read but I'm sure there are cases that are the exception.

"Is PMR pain always bilateral?
It is difficult to find PMR case without bilateral pain and stiffness of muscles and joints of neck, shoulder and hip girdles. Generalized musculoskeletal pain is not a PMR manifestation. Small joints involvement is also not typical but may be rarely found"

Normally they do a SED rate and CRP test to check for inflammation as an indicator for PMR.
"Besides checking your complete blood counts, your doctor will look for two indicators of inflammation — erythrocyte sedimentation rate (sed rate) and C-reactive protein. However, in some people with polymyalgia rheumatica, these tests are normal or only slightly high."

Did they start you on prednisone or other treatment for the PMR?
