I often have pain in my front thigh muscles and pain in my elbow turning my arms hurt my muscle by bend of my elbow
Hi @trellg132 how would you describe the pain? Does it happen after you do anything particular or is it random?

It happen either way but most of the time it's after movements work or bending elbow
@trellg132, if you don't mind, did this start after an injury of some sort or does it appear to be random without cause? I have experience with joint issues that have led to muscle pain as well, but they typically have resulted from some sort of minor or major injury.

@trellg132 I’m sorry you are having these bothersome pains. If you don’t mind answering some questions maybe we can help you form a dialogue to have with your doctor. Can you describe the type of pain you have in your thighs? For instance— burning, throbbing, tingling etc.
When does the pain occur? What makes the pain feel better—ice, heat, medicine?
One other question I find doctors ask is How long have you been in pain?

In my thighs it more like a muscle ache after work.in my elbowcif I extend my arm are twist it a little it hurts
@trelig132, sandytoes14, @JustinMcClanahan, @ethanmcconkey. Good afternoon. @trelig, I have great empathy for the pain you are feeling because I have been there. And I am a brand new mentor so to my colleagues, thanks for your efforts to provide a solution.
The thighs were discovered to have restrictions in the area where the thigh joins the pelvic area. The pain radiated down the thigh from that site. The elbow/arm pain is my current area of difficulty, especially on the left side. The diagnosis by a neurologist was Chronic Myofascial Pain Syndrome.
I think the issue may have arisen because I am trying to build muscle to fight off osteoporosis that is prominent in my wrists. So….as usual, I dove into this effort starting with 2 lb weights and a few arm exercises. Feeling good, I doubled that weight and that is when it started.
I am a patient of and advocate for Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR). It took about 6 weeks to work out the restrictions in my thighs. My therapist can go back in anytime the pain even suggests that it is returning. My thigh pain rose to such a level that I couldn't touch them…perhaps indicating that the fascia in that area was no longer moving fluidly under the skin but had become restricted. Now I can use and even cross my legs free of pain. What a relief.
At this stage, I get "arm" relief for 4-5 days after treatment. Soon, I think I will be able to start lifting my 2 pounders again. Every individual is unique and so this is simply an attempt to look at another treatment possibility. I have no medical training and so I can only share what has happened to me. @artscaping Chris, Thanks for your response. One of the many reasons I enjoy Mayo Connect is sharing with each other. I have read posts that have discussed MFR but never thought it would help me until now. My legs have been hurting to the point I can barely walk and I cry from the pain. I have been blaming it on Fibromyalgia but now I'm not so sure. I will certainly be looking into locating a therapist that can help.
@sandytoes There are so many things that can cause leg pain. A hurt muscle ,back problems nerve entrapment as I have that is a burning pain. Of course fibro also but when my fibro flare its all over not just the legs. I use ice on my lower back as this is one of my problems ice takes down edema as well as its anti inflammatory . Hope you find some relieve .

My lower back hurts almost everydayay
@trellg How did you hurt your lower back? All my back problems started when I fractured it .Now the bones have all shifted downward pluse I fell on the ice back east that didn't help my lower back. Have you had xrays? I have loads of arthritis in my back now . Cant do anything about this but I use Arnica cream which helps a lot. Other things I use is ice,heating pad Tens unit, Epsom salts. You have to find what works for you we are all different.
