Pain in PT after Patella Fracture

Hi, I am 27 yo and had my Patella surgery around 2 months back.

It's been 10 days since PT started for knee bending, but I have unbearable pain. I have not been able to bend beyond possibly 45% so far, and I feel the pain unbearable.

I don't want to remain like this, but what could be possible alternatives I have that can help with the knee bending ?

I have sitting exercises, trying to pull my leg towards me , OR lying down and using gravity for letting leg bend, which is too painful. Also, getting my leg to lift up is painful at knee. Doctors have told I have the patella in place and should attempt for PT exercises bearing the pain as it may get stiff later and require more brutal ways of getting it bend. However I am very nervous and pain, that's just not possible to bear. Please help, I don't wanna live like this forever.

I had a Total Knee Replacement & was doing well then broke my kneecap (patella). After surgery I’m in PT also like you. Scar tissue issue, knee having problems bending only 43% ATM. Just have to hang in there & do as the therapist & surgeon say. Take one day at a time. Don’t be scared. Keep up doing your exercises they do help you.
