Pain in my left Hip, Butt, Left side of my waste and in my ankle.

I been having pain in all of the places mentioned in the title.
it all started with driving in my truck for some 50 to 60 hours in 10 days. The final night of the trip all was well until I took the luggage out of the truck and felt a little twinge in my back. Well, the next morning I could hardly get out of bed. That was in Feb of 2022.
I did everything I could to resolve the pain, creams, exercises, stretching, acupuncture, massages, PT Ice, Heat, Chiropractors etc... I finally gave in and tried a chiropractor with a DRX 9000 machine. I provided him with an MRI of my Lower Spine and left Hip.
The findings are a herniated disk between L4 and L5. However, these MRI looked like a mirror image of the MRI's I Had in 2010. he recommended that we start the DRX9000 treatments right away. So, I Paid for 49 treatments. The treatments seem to be improving until the 13th or 14th treatment and that's when things went south. Someone didn't prepare the table correctly and when they were tilting the table back with me on it the lower part of the table was not secured properly and the table with me on it went crashing to the floor causing me great pain.
Needless to say, I couldn't get back on the table and the next two treatments were so painful it became obvious to the chiropractor, his nurse and myself that I sustained a serious injury and could not go on with any further treatments until I recovered from what had happened. Now mind you I could walk into and out of the office, but it was extremely painful. The chiropractor at that time recommended that see a doctor friend Dr. W at his pain clinic. So, I did, What a mistake. This doctor reviewed my latest MRI's and recommended that I have an epidural. and that we make arrangements to have one performed at his pain clinic.
Mind you that some 11 or 12 years earlier I had 3 epidurals performed at a hospital and my back problem, for the most part went away, so, I didn't think much of getting another one since the past ones helped.
I drove my wife and myself to the pain clinic for the epidural. The procedure wasn't expected to take long, and it was mentioned that I would need someone to drive me home. Things get really bad from here on out. I was escorted to the back where i changed into a gown and was then place on the table and rolled into the procedure room. When the Doctor arrived, they had me lay face down and strapped down my lower legs. When the doctor gave me the first numbing shot, I didn't think much of it but when he inserted the epidural It was nothing like i have ever felt before. The pain was so bad I started screaming as load as I could then he shoved the needle further into my spine where it felt as if someone pushed a pin through a piece of leather and the needle popped through whatever he punctured and as I was screaming, he said hold still I am almost done I am about 80% done and he punctured my back again. The pain was unbelievable. They moved me backout to the recovery room and told me to stop making some much noise, but the pain was so back I couldn't help but moan out loud. after 20 plus minutes they gave me shot of Toradol and then he told the nurse to stop taking my vitals and to get my wife so she could get me out of there.

Since then, I have not been able to walk and in fact my wife had to dress me, and they took me out that facility in a wheelchair, yet his procedural notes say I was unaccompanied and left the facility under my own power.
I have never been the same and have seen several doctors that felt the L4 to L5 bulging disk was the problem. Well not so fast I just had the L4 to L5 disk shaved and the problem is just a bad as it has been since I got the shot from Dr W.
The pain seems to get worst with ICE. When I move my leg in a certain direction it can to out on me the pain in my butt is like a sharp knife, I can only walk about 10 feet unassisted then the pain in my hip and ankle to extreme to walk any further, I don't sleep much and in fact sleeping with a pillow between my legs can make things worse and if I am standing still and move my head in a certain direction the pain in my butt can come or real fast and something my leg will go out on me.

This is the best diagnosis I can give, Any ideas what I should do next?

The pain doctor did you wrong. I have been to 2 pain docs who sedated me first, then injected me . It was not pleasant but what you went through was terrible.
Find a better reputable doctor and surgeon.
I have spinal injury from a car accident and degenerative disc disease. I cannot stand up more than 2 minutes with our support ( Rollator) . And like you, walking is too painful . I am disabled at this time .
Please find better physicians.

Sorry to hear about your pain. Sounds like arthritis in the hip joint or sciatic nerve pain.

How horrific! I do hope you found competent and compassionate doctors as well as legal counsel.

No my husband was patient there and we were very happy with the treatment. The doctors were great. We made an appointment online plus answering questions on line before the appointment.
Mayo is certainly the best place for health care and they worked with my husband’s physicians here in our town, we are grateful for the support and quality of care.

It sounds like you have Arachnoiditis. Probably never heard of it. I got it from a botched epidural. I have a lot of the same symptoms you do. Unfortunately there is no cure for this and hard to get diagnosed because no dr wants to admit it. It dies show up on an mri if you get a qualified radiologist to read it. They don’t like to own up to this diagnosis. Read up on it. It’s very painful

I have had your symptoms for years, but it turned out to be piriformis syndrome, so the exercises for that as well as a sacrum adjustment by my manual PT with osteopathic experience work. I do have degenerative disease and scoliosis in my back. My sister finds herself unable to walk for a bit if the massage therapist does her lower back. I am hypermobile, so I do have to work to keep muscles strong. Hope you can find someone who can look again at your skeletal issues.
