What helps to relieve pain in my butt?

Posted by ofemipupo @ofemipupo, Dec 28, 2021

I have been having pain in my butt when I sit and sometimes getting up from a sitting position is stressful. Sometimes pressing on the tail end of my spine/butt is painful. OIA

What is Sacral disc DDD?
What is the McKensie method?
I have a pinched nerve in my L4 caused by PT and it’s getting worse.
Knife like pain in upper thigh, and groin., very limited motion in leg. It feels like there’s a very tight and wide rubber band enveloping my leg and it’s being pulled tighter and tighter. I am unable to lift my leg.
My buttocks feels very tight and like there is a pile of rocks in there when sitting or lying down.
I’m wondering what your symptoms are because you also have the impaired L4.? Thank you.

The tightness in your buttocks may be related to the piriformis muscle bilaterally. Google exercises for it.

McKenzie method is a set of exercises developed by a NewZealand physiotherapist. Books that are lay friendly are available on Amazon, search Robin McKenzie.

Thank you for your advice. Are you a PT?

Sounds like you might have a tight piriformis muscle that is putting pressure on your sciatic nerve. You may need physical therapy or Google piriformis exercises. ☮️

No, but it’s on my list to try. Currently pain management is taking care of most of my pain. There is one spot that needs some attention and I’m wondering if acupuncture might do it.

I was having problems with my sitting bone on my left side and have had injections to relieve pain, but that is a temporary fix if it worked at all! I was just diagnosed with Nutcrackers syndrome after having serious problems the last 13 years

I have been having serious issues for 15 years with my sitting and now even standing, mostly bed ridden. I am going to see a vascular surgeon because they just saw that I have Nutcracker’s syndrome and this might be why it hurts to sit , I’m not sure yet, very painful and frustrating,

What is nutcrackers syndrome? Do you have spinal stenosis?
