Pain in back and chest.
Has anyone experienced pain in and around their lungs. It is difficult to describe but it is not like pleurisy as I have had that and it does not get worse when I breathe or cough. I have bronchiectasis but have recently been diagnosed with with MAC for a second time after being clear for a year. I take paracetamol when I remember but it does not hit the spot. I am unable to take anti inflammatory pain relief due to having reflux. If I overdo things the pain gets worse. Just wondering if others have experienced this as I did not have this symptom the first time I had MAC.

Are you taking antibiotics regularly and doing any therapy to remove mucus?

Watch and wait for me at the moment. The thoughts of going back on any antibiotics fill me with dread!
I carry out twice daily lung clearance exercises and I am going to start saline nebs soon. None of these were shared with me back in 2022 when I was first diagnosed with NTM. It was through research that I discovered how to clear my lungs. Thank you so much for the links. I think the pain is from my bronchiectasis. I have just finished a 10 hour working day as a teacher which was non stop. I did not have much pain but peehaps it was because I was so busy I did not have time to notice! No 2 days are the same. The weather is good a lovely 20 degrees!
