Out of the mouth of babes!

I believe that laughter and the pure and sweet innocence of our children are the best medicine there is.

I am 44 years old. I have 5 children that range from 26 years old down to 6 years old. I was recently diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer.

I have a very strong relationship and faith in the Lord. He has promised healing in this and I believe that. However, the flesh is fighting for its life and has been trying to make believe otherwise. As I approach the start of my treatment journey, anxiety has started to creep in. Oh what a devil it has been, especially late at night.

This past Wednesday night after church service I asked my pastor and his wife to pray with me. His wife was praying with someone else first, so me, the girls, and Pastor waited in the lobby for her. When Pastor first walked up to us, my 6 year old, Abby, looked at him and said, with a very sweet and enthusiastic voice, "They're going to cut my mom's boobies off!" 😳😂🤣

I about freaking lost it, Pastor's face was priceless! He said, "Well, let's just get right to it!" Then all we could do was laugh for a few minutes. Then, it was awkward for a minute until we started talking about everything.

Now when anxiety starts to set in, I think about that and die laughing all over again!!! 🤣
