OTC niacinamide serum

Has anyone tried OTC niacinamide serum to lighten darker skin left after insect bite or scarring? I will use up the entire 1 oz bottle, but I have seen no changes. Thank you.

Have you tried Mederma? You have to apply it liberally and a few times a day. This helps mine and also speeds up
the healing of those blood blisters I get under my thin skin due to brusing so easily.
