Osteoporosis and Forteo (teriparatide): What to hear experiences
Wanting to hear people’s experience with using Forteo generally , good and bad. Concerned about having to travel and keeping it at the 36-46F range. Also would like to hear from those that used it 15-20 years ago and if any medical issues have come about that are related to Forteo.

mayblin, are your referring to the 4ALLFamily Voyager model? If not, which product?
Yes @leeosteo this is it! I bought a power bank in case there isn’t any electric outlet👇. This is tsa approved.

It takes about 20 min to cool down the cynlinder carrier from 72F to 46F, which is required temp for FORTEO storage. Another 25min from 46F to 37F, which is lower end of storage temp for FORTEO. After that, the inner temperature of this cylinder carrier just bounces between 37F- 45F!
I’m testing the length of time this power bank (fully charged) can be used for cooling. So far it’s been 8 hours of cooling, with 53% batteries life remaining. Once it’s drained, charging doesn’t take long.
mayblin, what is the external size of the Voyager model? I see the internal size but not the external.
I did Forteo a few years back, and worked well , now I am on Evenity,
The cylinder has a diameter of 3 and 1/4 inches, a height of 10 and 1/4 inches.
Hi @lynlaughlin if you don’t mind sharing, what drug did you use after completion of FORTEO? Did you have drug holiday before the start of evenity? Thank you!
Thanks.
I injected Forteo for 20 months. My spine went from osteoporosis to normal. My hips improved to almost osteopenia.
Since finishing Forteo eleven years ago, my treatment has been Prolia. My hips continue to slowly improve so my doctor advised me to continue getting it vs changing to something else.
