Osteo diagnosis post kidney transplant. Terrified.
I will celebrate four years Dec 4, 2025 with my kidney transplant. I have been diagnosed with Osteo on my left hip. Drs. are pushing prolia, and I refuse to take Prolia. Would like to know if anyone else has taken any particular Bisphosphonates sp? post kidney transplant with minimal side effects. I also do not have a gallbladder. I will not do an injectable. Thanks for any information.

Is it possible that you can rebuild the bone with exercise, a very specific plan for osteoporosis? I am pre-liver transplant with mild osteoporosis in the left hip and am doing physical therapy to build up. Walking is a fabulous exercise for it, but check with your medical team if it’s not been raised.

How are your calcium and PTH levels? I just had a parathyroidectomy due to elevated pth and calcium leading to two fractures after minor falls. Ten years post transplant.
