Online ~ Check In Support Group: All Topics ~ Just Say What's On Your Mind

Posted by Roxie43 @roxie43, Mar 19, 2012

I'm praying to return to full-time work soon, I'm a mom, a grandma, a sister, a daughter, an ex-wife who will always be supportive, a friend, a consumer, a strong advocate for equality, and in being all these things like many of you life can get hectic.
So, I thought that instead of posting about 1 specific topic, I would post a generic discussion so you all can connect and support one another regardless of the topic
We, human beings, have so much to share and express and get non-judgemental feedback on that it seemed logical.
So many of us, perhaps all of us, could use a little breather from what initially attracted us to this website.
I'm sure there are so many other things going on (Good & stressful) in our lives; that we would like to explore and brainstorm on that if given the opportunity we just may be better equipped to confront what originally brought us here.
The common goal is to express yourself, bounce ideas off each other, learn because there is a level of learning that takes place (I have learned so much) and simply support one another.
What I have noticed about my postings on depression is that we have a common thread of discussions and they branch out to other aspects of who we are; work, relationships, stress, burn out, frustrations, joy's, meaning, goals, aging gracefully, side effects and human kindness.
I met a special friend on this site "Piglit", and I'm sure many of you have been blessed by her kindness as well, and it is simply a wonderful feeling, when you can establish new relationships and can give other's a break and expand your support network!
So, who will take a chance and post first?!!"
In solidarity about being good to thy neighbors 🙂

My moms doogie Daisy passed away at the vet 2 days ago. It's amazing how these little creatures are like family. My mom is devasted but she was told that Daisy passed away in her sleep and it was primarily old age..
I love my mammie and I don't even want to think about her passing...
I hope everyone is well and had a good weekend..
Hugs,
Rox

Yes Roxie, I sure know how she feels. My Candy was like a child to me; I was mommy. It's bee a while now since Candy passe daway and I still can't bring myself to look at her little footprint that they molded of her. I'm plannng on making a showdow box for some of her stuff, pictures, footprint, dress, bow, little socks and a toy. I just haven't been able to do it yet. Maybe your mom could consider doing that one day when the pain lessens. I'm glad your mom is feeling better. She will always miss Daisy but the pain will be less as time goes on. My prayers are with your sweet mom.

Thank You Dear, They are like children. I had two, Baby and Star, and when I left my ex he kept them both.. I visited them for a while...Daisy is their mom and they are only 2 years younger so I fear that one day I will find out that they passed. I was given a new doggie, a westie, for my b-day 3 years ago and she is my love. I cannot imagine anything happening to Baby, Star nor Mammie.. They love us unconditionally...I love how you molded Candies paw print. That's adorable..
